Girl group Red Velvet is the most talked about idol group in the latest brand reputation rankings for July.
The Korea Institute for Corporate Reputation released its latest rankings of 100 Korean idol groups.
Red Velvet seized first place followed by EXO, TWICE, APink and BTS.
The institute analyzed 134.11 million pieces of big data from June 27 to July 28 based on participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness.
Red Velvet, composed of Irene, Wendy, Seulgi, Joy and Yeri, got a total score of 10.37 million, up by 224.05 percent from their score of 3.2 million in May this year. The group released their latest album "The Red Summer" on July 9 and has been promoting the title track "Red Flavor" on TV music shows.
Second place is boy band EXO with a score of 10.28 million, an increase of 191.69 percent from their May score of 3.52 million. The group released their new album "The War" last July 18 and have been also promoting it on TV.
Girl group TWICE came third with 8.63 million, higher by 7.68 percent compared to their May score.
Fourth placer APink got 7.99 million as their brand reputation index score, which increased by 153.34 percent compared to their total of 3.15 million in May.
BTS grabbed fifth place with 7.46 million, a decrease of 7.5 percent from their 8 million score in the last ranking.
