Running Man star Kim Jong Kook is a man with heart of gold and recently his participation in This is My Home to build a new house for a less fortunate family proves it all.
The singer along with the cast members of This is My Home helped a BTS fan and her family members by building a house for them. The home renovation and construction project of This is My Home gave the 15-year-old BTS fan a new house to live in.
Min Young along with her other family members were surprised when the cast members of This is My Home transformed the mice-infested and dilapidated house into a brand new modern home, All Kpop reported.
Kim also participated in the house renovation period by smoothening out the wet cement floor and also made shelves for the BTS fan to keep her books. The aim was give her and her family a safe and comfortable place to live in. To make this possible, the South Korean singer and the other cast members of This is My Home worked hard to complete the makeover of the house as soon as possible.
When the transformed new home was unveiled to the BTS fan and her family, they were shocked to see the upgrades including the stainless steel kitchen appliances and many other modern amenities. A small outdoor patio was also made by the design team of This is My Home in the middle of the house.
In other news, recently was out that it was because of Kim why Running Man members decided to continue the popular SBS variety show's broadcast. The show's cancellation news was soon after a casting controversy involving Kim and Song Ji Hyo's exit. Later, the decision was reversed after the meeting about the show's future with the cast members.
Reportedly, SBS executive Nam Seung Yong approached Kim first to re-open negotiations and they apologized for the incident and the singer persuaded the other cast members to stay on the show.
