As the variety show, Running Man's Season 2 has been officially cancelled, Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo, have reportedly decided to donate their remaining salary.
After Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo were forced out of the longest running variety show in South Korea, the showrunners and cast members gathered for a secret meeting and decided to end the show.
After the meeting, they officially confirmed that Running Man that the show end in February 2017. And, Kim Jong Kook and Song Ji Hyo have agreed to be on Running Man until the final episode.
All the cast members of the Running Man show who have left recently decided collectively that they will donate the rest of their salary from SBS in full, according to Korea Boo reports. "They are looking into how and where they are going to donate," the website also revealed.

Reports of Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook being forced out and then the shutdown of the show came as a shock to the fans. The only good thing to hold on to is the fact that until the finale Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook have agreed to be a part in the series in spite of the fact that they were very much hurt by the decision and most importantly because they got to know it from the media and not the show runners. Well, the production team of Running Man issued an immediate apology to both of them.
As the popular variety show ends, the producers didn't want to end it on a sad note and decided to have all the six members- Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Kwang Soo, Ji Suk Jin, Haha, Song Ji Hyo and Kim Jong Kook until the finale.
