Xperia XZ1 comes with 5.2-inch display with 1920 x 1080 resolution, while Galaxy Note 8 boasts an impressive 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display with 2960 x 1440 resolution. Samsung's latest flagship phablet delivers a better visual experience, but Sony's packs the optimum viewing experience with its HDR screen and two front speakers.

Netflix has two HDR streaming formats: Dolby Vision and UltraHD Premium. Aside from Galaxy Note 8 and Xperia XZ1, other devices that support Netflix HDR are LG V30, LG G6 and Xperia XZ. However, LG G6 is the sole device to support Dolby Vision.

In July, IBTimes Singapore had reported the 100 million subscriber milestone of the streaming service, adding 5.2 million customers in the second quarter of 2017. According to analysts, the surge was largely attributed to the new House of Cards season and the breakout hit series 13 Reasons Why.
