Fresh from the success of K2, actor Ji Chang Wook is currently busy with SBS' upcoming drama "Suspicious Partner." In this rom-com, Wook plays No Jin Wook, a no-nonsense, clever, and merciless prosecutor with top-class success rates. While working on a mysterious case, Wook falls for a newbie lawyer Eun Bong Hee (Nam Ji Hyun). Wook has two things to deal with—a traumatic past involving his childhood and first love, and an amnesic killer.
SBS released a series of images from the drama and Wook looks stunning in every bit. The first still shows Wook in his serious prosecutor getup—fit and handsome—while the another still showed his cuter side. A representative from SBS has told Soompi that the drama will explore a new side of Wook; so far, we have seen him mostly in action-oriented roles, while the "Suspicious Partner" gives him the platform to experiment on rom-com. "He has been putting all his efforts in perfecting different expressions for his lovable character on the show. We believe everyone will fall in love with the character of No Jin Wook and are optimistic about this drama," the rep added. The drama also stars Choi Tae-joon and Kwon Na-ra in key roles.
Ji Chang is fresh from the release of his crime thriller "Fabricated City," which also marked his first feature film as the solo lead. The film narrated the story of a gamer who is framed as the prime suspect of a shocking crime: the rape and murder of a high school girl. With the help of his fellow gamer Demolition and a hacker, he sets out to uncover the truth and clear his name. Directed by Park Kwang-hyun, this action-crime thriller also starred Shim Eun-kyung and Ahn Jae-hong in important roles.
"Suspicious Partner" will be aired on May 10 at 10 p.m. KST. Which is your favourite Ji Chang Wook drama? Comments us your feedback!
