The Seoul Drama Awards 2017 was presented on September 7 at KBS Hall, Yeouido. It included 266 dramas from 55 countries. Shin Dong Yup and Kim Jung Eun hosted the ceremony.
The entire programme was a joint venture of Korean Broadcasting SystemMunhwa Broadcasting Corporation, Seoul Broadcasting System, Educational Broadcasting System and Korean Broadcasting Association.
The main motive of the programme was to exchange the cultural knowledge between Korea and other parts of the world.
Some celebrity appearances added more shine to the 12th Drama award ceremony. Korean singer Amy Lee, likely to be known as Ailee, Red Velvet, the music group, the dance performers from Prepix and The Barberrettes, the famous South-Korean musical trio performed at the award function.
There were many honourable nominations of drama productions but the main focus was the list of the winners.
