Singapore: 5-year-old Spanish boy dies after tree falls on him in Bukit Timah

The victim's father had come to Singapore for work and had brought his family along with him.

A five-year-old Spanish boy died after a tree fell on him in Bukit Timah, Sigapore. The police said that the tree fell on a car; however, no one else was injured in the incident.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they were alerted about the accident that took place on Aug 17 at the intersection of Upper Bukit Timah Road and Old Jurong Road at around 3 pm. It added that an ambulance was immediately dispatched to the scene.

But, before SCDF arrived, the injured boy was already taken to the University Hospital and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for treatment. But, the boy succumbed to his injuries and died a week later on Aug 24. Reports said that the doctors could not operate on him, as his conditions were unstable.
