A 51-year-old construction worker has died after falling from the 10th floor of a construction site in Tampines on Monday in Singapore. Reports said that the man was found lying motionless and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene.
The Singapore Police Force said that it was informed about the accident along Tampines Avenue 10 at about 11.08 am. Channel NewsAsia reported that the worker was a Chinese national.
The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said that the worker was performing formwork on the 10th floor of a building when suddenly he fell and landed on the fourth floor. MOM added that the worker was working for China Jingye Engineering Corporation Limited.
A spokesperson told Channel NewsAsia that the authorities have issued a full stop work order. MOM is investigating the incident.
The police also added that they are investigating the "unnatural death".
