Song Joong Ki made a surprise appearance in Song Hye Kyo's fan meeting in Seoul. The event was held at Coex Auditorium to mark the 34-year-old actress' 20th anniversary in the South Korean entertainment industry.
Hye Kyo who looked ravishing in a black dress, thanked her fans for constant support. She said: "For the past 20 years as an actress, a lot of things have happened to me. Happy, exciting and also sad things. Things I have expected to happens, but also some I didn't expect. I have overcome hardships because of family, friends, and you guys."
Meanwhile, fans were shocked to see the 31-year-old actor enter the stage at the event. He was also dressed in black.
The Descendants of the Sun co-stars are known as the Song-Song couple. In the hit drama, Joong Ki plays the lead role as Captain Yoo Shi Jin, and Hye Kyo reprises the role of doctor named Kang Mo-Yeon.
Rumours that they are romantically involved started in March after the two were reportedly seen together in New York. Joong-ki's agency confirmed that the couple is not an item in real life. The statement from UAA Korea read: "Song Joong-ki is her good colleague with whom she's done a TV series together."
"She was on vacation in New York and Song Joong Ki happened to be there. They had a meal with other friends, and we cannot believe it has turned into a scandal. There is no need for us to consider it seriously. We will take it as a sign of fans' interests. That story has been going around for a long time now. Media outlets have asked us about it and we have told them many times that it is not true," the letter read.
