After the 2016 KBS Drama Awards, rumours about "Descendants of the Sun" leading man Song Joong-ki have refused to die down. The rumours ranged from his alleged romantic relationship with co-star Song Hye Kyo to the return of the gay rumours involving Park Go Bum. Now, the latest reports that set tongues wag are those on the 'bromance' between Song Joong-ki and Jo In Sung.
Soompi reported that Jo In Sung, the leading man in the 2013 the Korean TV series "That Winter, The Wind Blows," had his own bromance moments with "Descendants of the Sun" actor Song Joong-ki.
Reportedly, in MBC's "Section TV Entertainment Relay," where Jo In Sung promoted his upcoming movie "The King" that would premiere on Jan. 18, "That Winter, The Wind Blows" actor joked that "Descendants of the Sun" actor Song Joong-ki failed to acknowledge him at the 2016 KBS Drama Awards.
Jo In Sung further mentioned the male bonding recollecting their trip to Thailand after Soong Joong-ki was discharged from the military in 2015. Jo In Sung explained: "It's hard to get your passport renewed when it comes time for you to go to the military. I'm sure Joong Ki went through that too, so I took him on a trip."
In the popular variety show "Running Man", the two were cast members, which explains their strong bonding. When Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong-ki received 2016 KBS Drama Awards Grand Excellence (Daesang) for "Descendants of the Sun" the teary-eyed actor was so overwhelmed by the award that he forgot to mention a lot of other people who all have been important for who and where he is today.
His popularity as an actor in South Korea and throughout Asia, particularly in China, is due to the adulation of many people who have been there by his side, always. Jo In Sung was undoubtedly one of them and maybe he was a little disheartened as he was not included in Song Joong-ki's acceptance speech. However, Jo In Suk joked about it and said: "I wasn't included in his acceptance speech. I guess I'm not someone he's grateful for." He also clarified that he is so happy things went well for Song Joong-ki, Soompi reported.
