South Korean stars Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo have reportedly been victims of fake news and on numerous occasions were quoted out of context, according to SongSong Couple shippers as cited by inquisitr.
Not only the 'Descendants of the Sun' stars but also actors like Park Bo-gum and Gong Yoo too have been dragged into it.
Recently, actress Song Hye-kyo was at Hong Kong to promote Esprit and coincidentally Gong Yoo was too in the same country for his fan meet. During a press conference of Song Hye-kyo's photoshoot she was asked if there's a chance of the actress meeting Gong Yoo who was also in Hong Kong at that time.
Song Hye-kyo clearly mentioned that she wasn't aware that he was around and went to say moreover, "We've never done a production together before and I haven't met him yet, so I don't know him personally," according to a report by Soompi.
Song Hye-kyo was also asked if she would like to do a movie with Gong Yoo to which she responded that she would love to if such an opportunity arises.
Inquisitr mentioned that Gong Yoo was quoted out of context by the news outlet, Korea Portal as they suggested that the rumoured couple Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki possibly broke up as the actress dumped him for Gong Yoo.
This made the SongSong Couple fans angry and they promised to take action against the fake news.
Similarly, in the past, Song Joong-ki and Park Bo-gum were romantically linked together just because they acted together in a pizza commercial and attended a few fan meetings.
This is certainly uncalled for and fans are really angry about it. Fans took to Instagram and posted screenshots warning about the fake news being circulated. They even asked to ban the portal for spreading fake news.
