Sony has finally started rolling out the highly-anticipated Android 7.0 Nougat over-the-air (OTA) update for Xperia Z5 in several countries across the globe including Australia. The recently leaked Nougat roadmap for all Xperia devices on Vodafone Australia suggests that the island nation is now awaiting software testing for Android 7.0 on Xperia Z5.
As The Android Soul reports, Sony is at the verge of rolling out Nougat beta update for Xperia Z5 and the software testing is expected to be completed in a couple of weeks time. If there no further delays, we could expect the final Nougat (stable release) rollout for Xperia Z5 within a month.
It may be recalled that the company had temporarily halted the Nougat rollout (earlier this month) for Xperia Z3+, Z4 Tablet and Xperia Z5 series, owing to a handful of known issues with build 32.3.A.0.372, including audio-playback problems via third-party apps. The latest Nougat build 32.3.A.0.378 is expected to fix all the bugs found in the previous builds.
Meanwhile, Xperia XZ, Xperia X, X Performance and X Compact have started receiving the February security update while the forthcoming update will bring Google security patches for all Xperia devices. Stay tuned for the FTF firmware links that will be uploaded shortly.
