Former world number one golfer Martin Kaymer spoke to his fans on Twitter on 1 June asking them to be nicer to Tiger Woods following the former champions arrest on 29 May. Woods was charged with driving under the influence and a video shows him slurring his words during a police interview. Martin Kaymer called the treatment of Woods by the public unfair and very disrespectful and suggested people should try to help the golf star instead.
