Akdong Musician's Suhyun is excited about people addressing her as Kim Go Eun look-alike. As per a report on AllKPOP, during 'Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon' on January 11, DJ Kim Shin Young commented: "You look like Kim Go Eun from 'Goblin'." Suhyun responded enthusiastically: "I hear that often. It's such an honor. She's an actress whom I've always been fond of. It makes me happy. I wish I can meet her sometime. I'm a fan."
Well, who wouldn't want to look like Go Eun especially after the stupendous success of Goblin. The drama, which portrays the romance between a high school girl, played by Go Eun and Goblin an adult male in his 30s, is reaching its climax with some intense scenes. In the last episode, we saw Goblin wanting to take revenge on the Grim Reaper while Eun Tak seems to have lost her ability to see supernatural things.
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment's Akdong Musician, which comprises of folk-pop siblings Lee Chan-hyuk, 21 and Suhyun,18, is rising on the charts with their latest album, "Winter," which according to Korea Joong Gang Daily "comes with their signature wit and sensitivity, but it shows that they've matured." Two singles "Last Goodbye" and "Reality" from the album is placed in the top five on multiple music sites, including Genie, Melon, and Bugs.
In the same report, when she quipped about the song and its lyrics: "I know that some lyrics on the album are about [Chan-hyuk's] past and I also know what the situation was like then. So I instill my emotions in it when I sing. That's why I feel that we are making music together."
The duo also released a 22-minute short film on New Year's Day that showcases the making of the album. And now, the video has received over 400,000 views. Suhyun made her debut in 2014 after winning the second installment of the K-pop Star series. Their debut album "Play" has more than 6.1 million total downloads and as of July 2016, the duo sold 16.7 million digital songs.
