MBC's variety show "Infinite Challenge" was chosen as the No.1 most favorite TV show in South Korea in May, according to a poll.
Gallup Korea released the Top 10 rankings for May based on a poll held from May 16 to 18 among 1,004 Koreans aged 19 and above.
"Infinite Challenge," which stars Yoo Jae-suk, Haha, Jeong Jun-ha, Park Myeong-su and Yang Se-hyung, garnered a rating of 9.9 percent, up from 8.4 percent last month.
Placing second is the JTBC talk show "Ssulzun," hosted by Kim Gura, Rhyu Si-min and Jun Won-tchack, which got 8.4 percent.
In April, "Infinite Challenge" and "Ssulzun" tied for first place in the same poll.
"Infinite Challenge" took a break of seven weeks starting in January to recharge and reorganize the program. It recently featured episodes such as "Truth Game," "One Fine Day," "Hidden Card" and "Future Entertainment Research Institute."
The daily KBS drama "Still Loving You," which will air its 125th and last episode on May 26, placed third with 6.1 percent, while "Yoon's Restaurant," the hit tvN reality show, came fourth with 5.2 percent.
SBS' drama "Whisper," which aired its 17th and last episode on May 23, grabbed fifth place with 4.7 percent. The drama, which starred Lee Bo-young, Lee Sang-yoon, Park Se-young and Kwon Yul, achieved its highest rating for the last episode and breaching the 20-percent mark with 20.3 percent based on Nielsen Korea ratings.
JTBC's "Knowing Bros" placed sixth with 3.9 percent and MBC's drama "Rebel: Thief Who Stole the People" took the seventh spot with 3.6 percent.
Other shows in the Top 10 are MBN's "I Am a Natural Person," eight place with 3.3 percent; SBS' "Mom's Diary: My Ugly Duckling," ninth with 2.7 percent; and MBC's "Radio Star," 10th place with 2.3 percent.
