Overview
After a 1-1 draw at the hands of Everton in the first match of the season, Tottenham Hotspur bounced back with a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace in the last fixture. The north London club have signed Victor Janssen and Victor Wanyama so far this summer.
It was Wanyama's strike against Alan Pardew's side that was a difference between Tottenham and Palace as the latter sealed their first win of the 2016/17 season. Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping his side can seal another win on Saturday over the Merseyside club.
Liverpool, on the other hand suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Burnley in the last league tie. They bounced back with a 5-0 win over Burton Albion in the EFL Cup and it should be seen how they would react when Jurgen Klopp's side face Tottenham.
