Warriors FC host arch-rivals Home United in their sixth S.League tie of 2017 season at the Choa Chu Kang Stadium on Saturday.
The hosts are heading into the game on the back of a 5-3 win over strugglers Brunei DPMM last Saturday. Meanwhile, Home have looked unstoppable this season and the visitors will be full of confidence as they have entered the knockout stages of AFC Cup 2017 following their 4-1 win over Myanmar's Yadanarbon FC on Tuesday.
Both teams have remained unbeaten so far with Warriors sitting at the second spot after amassing 13 points from five games. Home will be looking to leapfrog their Saturday's opponents as they have 10 points from only four outings.
Aidil Sharin's have been finding the back of the net at will since the start of the new season scoring 33 goals in 10 matches across all competitions so far. Stipe Plazibat, who arrived from Hougang United ahead of 2017 season, has set the league on fire with eight goals already. Lions' vice-captain Hariss Harun's return to squad will boost their midfield, which also has in-form stars Christopher van Huizen and Ui-Young Song.
Warriors have also been impressive at the front with 13 goals from their five league matches. Their imports Joel Tshibamba and Jordan Webb have been consistently scoring goals in their recent games along with Lions' skipper Shahril Ishak.
However, the hosts have conceded eight goals, which is the third-highest count, and the lack of defensive discipline might cost them three points tomorrow. The onus will be on Baihakki Khaizan-led backline to stop the danger man Plazibat from running riot.
