SBS's upcoming romance-fantasy drama 'While You Were Sleeping' has viewers excited with its exciting premise and the teaser trailer that was released last week was enough to pique the interest of K-drama fans. Now, a fresh set of official still photos of Lee Jong-suk's character from the drama have been released.
As noted by website Soompi, the newly released stills from 'While You Were Sleeping' show le Jong-suk in character as Jung Jae-chan, a newly appointed prosecutor at the district prosecutor's office. He appears mostly excited and sprightly.

In the top most photo, Lee Jong-suk is seen in a judge's robe, swearing in at his ceremony as a new prosecutor. In the bottom right photo, Jong-suk appears smart in a suit and is seen taking a selfie of his new badge. The next two photos show him seated in his cabin, working at his desk, going through case files and appearing exhausted.
So far, Jung Jae-chan appears far removed from the serial murderer Kim Kwang-il in Lee Jong-suk's last movie, 'V.I.P.' It is also interesting that unlike the teaser for 'While You Were Sleeping,' which portrayed the lead characters as mysterious and sorrowful, the photos show Lee Jong-suk is more or less bright moods.
It is very likely that Jong-suk's character hasn't yet met with Suzy Bae's Nam Hong-joo, an unemployed former journalist who can see unfortunate future events in her dreams. Curiously enough she was Jung Jae-chan's fan and used to idolise him. Once Jae-chan comes to learn about her dreams, he'll try to prevent those dreams from becoming reality.
'While You Were Sleeping' will air on SBS every Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10.00 p.m. KST, starting September 7. Watch the English subtitled trailer for the drama below.
In related news, Lee Jong-suk finally held his Seoul fan meeting titled, "Lee Jong Suk Private Stage Dream Like in Seoul," at the Seoul Olympic Hall on September 10. In addition to dancing and singing, the actor also talked about the depression he was facing as an actor in the entertainment industry.
"I think my puberty is coming late. I was in a slump before filming the movie 'V.I.P.' I learned a lot from my seniors. I'm still recovering and most of it has been resolved." The 27-year-old actor said and added, "When I meet my fans like this, it gives me the motivation to endure another year. I always thank you and love you."
In the fan meet, the actor also shared photos from his childhood and even played with a claw machine to win dolls for fans. His 'While You Were Sleeping' co-stars also visited him on stage but didn't discuss their upcoming drama.
