SBS's "Whisper" ended with a bang as it aired its last episode on May 23.
The final episode of the drama reportedly recorded 20.3 percent viewer ratings nationwide and it is 1.1 percent higher than that of the penultimate episode.The penultimate episode, which aired on May 22, received 19.2 percent according to Nielsen Korea Korea as cited by Soompi.
The legal thriller took the first place in the Monday-Tuesday time slot and the other competitive drams trailed behind. The new Monday-Tuesday dramas which started this week itself like MBC's "Lookout," received average ratings of 4.7 percent and KBS's "Fight My Way," gathered 6 percent ratings.
The legal thriller drama narrates the story of a detective Shin Young-joo played by actress Lee Bo-young. She eventually teams up with a judge Lee Dong-joon which is played by Lee Sang-yoon, to uncover the biggest scam of the nation in the defence sector.

In the last episode of "Whisper", the much waited imprisonment of Kang Jung Il (Kwon Yool) took place as he got a sentence of ten years in prison, life imprisonment for Choi Il Hwan, seven years in prison for Choi Soo Yeon (Park Se Young), two years in prison for Song Tae Gon and Lee Dong Joon's four years in prison and disbarment.
So, Lee Dong Joon (Lee Sang Yoon) and Shin Young Joo (Lee Bo Young) served justice to those who deserved it.
It then showed the scenario after three years, where the viewers see that Shin Young Joo made it through the bar examinations. Lee Dong Joon, that is, her love of life was released from prison and now, they can reunite. Lee Ho Bum (Kim Chang Wan) was admitted for developing Alzheimer's disease. On the other hand, the association of journalists created an award in order to honour Shin Chang Ho (Kang Shin Il).
A source told Soompi that the cast and crew of the drama will be heading over to Jeju Island on May 25 as a reward vacation.
