Zayn Malik is reportedly upset with Perrie Edwards, for dragging Gigi Hadid into their past relationship. The Little Mix singer had threw subtle shade at the couple recently during the girl band's concert in Australia.
The original lyrics to the girl group's song, Shout Out To My Ex, were: "Heard he been f***ing some model chick, yeah that sh*t hurt I'll admit, but f*ck that boy I'm over it."
However, the 24-year-old singer sang: "hope she ain't faking it like Hadid."
A source told Hollywood Life: "Zayn is disappointed in Perrie. There is really no need to keep rehashing the past and stirring up drama."
"Furthermore, if she feels like she has to say something, she should come at him. He's the one who hurt her. But he wants her to leave Gigi out of it — Gigi didn't do anything to Perrie so there's no reason to try and hurt her," the insider added.
Edwards and Malik started dating in December 2011 after meeting on the sets of The X Factor. They got engaged in August 2013 and were reportedly planning to get married at Disneyland Paris in June 2015.
Edwards had confirmed that the former One Direction singer broke up with her via text message. In the girl group's new book, Our World, the American beauty talked about the couple's relationship. She wrote: "It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that. Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me."
