North Korea threat: South Koreas approach differs from US and Japan

Defence Minister Itsunori Onodera said Japans military could deter a missile attack on US territory by North Korea. Should North Korea attack Guam, Onodera said the missiles could be shot down by the Japanese military before reaching the U.S according to Onodera. Meanwhile, South Korea has had a nuclear deterrence since the Korean War when the U.S. vowed to protect the country from its northern neighbor. Pyongyangs recent long-range missile tests havent startled the average South Korean citizen, according to CNN. They say either active war is still highly unlikely or Im not really paying attention to politics, sorry.
