Detectives seize largest cache of fowl used in illegal cockfighting in U.S. history

Police in Los Angeles have conducted what they believe is this largest illegal cockfighting ring bust in US history after recovering more than 7,000 fowls from a property in Val Verde.A search warrant involving 100 police officers as well as animal welfare experts took place on a rural 80-acre property following a month long investigation.As well as thousands of birds officers also recovered several mobile fighting rings, razors hooks known as gaffs which are attached to the roosters claws, medications and other items indicative of illegal cock fighting.

This years event will be exclusive to PS4. MotoGP 17 will be released on 15 June for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The huge swarm of bees descended on Greenwich on 16 May, during rush hour. Abigail Hering, who works nearby, shared a video of the swarm on social media, showing commuters ducking to avoid the insects. She told the Evening Standard that there were millions of them, and that the swarm was there for at least an hour.

A World War II bomb was safely detonated in Birmingham on 16 May. The device contained around 300 pounds of high explosives and was likely a German air drop bomb. The controlled detonation prompted the evacuations of hundreds of residents and the closure of parts of the A38 Aston Expressway, M6 motorway and the cancellation of rail services. It was discovered by construction workers.

In an unexpected turn of events on Tuesday (May 16), following a vital meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump in Washington, two groups of protesters clashed outside the Turkish embassy. Altercations broke out between pro-Erdogan and Kurdish supporters outside the Turkish ambassadors official residence in the US capital. The two groups were carrying their respective flags and placards, shouting slogans outside the embassy. Footage from the Armenian National Committee of America showed policemen trying to intervene and stop the violence. The situation was reportedly brought under control after a reinforcement team reached the spot.

Speaking ahead of an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council following Pyongyangs latest missile test on 14 May, Haley vowed to call out states backing the reclusive state. She suggested that some countries were failing to adhere to UN-imposed sanctions and warned she would target them with sanctions for supporting the Kim Jong-un regimes missile programme.
