Rafael Nadal has pulled out of ATP Finals 2018 newly-crowned world number Novak Djokovic and world number three Roger Federer will participate in the year-end tennis tournament.
In-form Djokovic eyes a 33rd Masters 1000 title as he takes on 22-year-old Khachanov who heads into the final on the back of beating three top 10 opponents in Paris.
Federer has said he is in good mental and physical shape despite two weeks of rigorous action in the lead up to ATP Tour Finals, starting November 11 in London.
While Nadal returns to the tour after nearly a two-month break at this week's Paris Masters, in-form Djokovic starts as the favourite to win the Masters 1000 title.
Federer was unable to control his emotions after beating qualifier Marius Copil in the final of the ATP 500 tournament in front of his home crowd on Sunday.
