London police release footage of jailed serial thief stealing from a tourist

A Chilean man was jailed at Isleworth Crown Court on Thursday (12 October) after being found guilty of 11 separate counts of theft at various locations in London. The Metropolitan Police believed that Emilio Guerrero-Sepulveda made two separate trips to the British capital in order specifically to steal tourists money. The highest value item recovered from Guerrero-Sepulveda was a camera valued at £8,800 taken from Selfridges earlier this year. This CCTV footage shows the thief stealing a bag at the Ibis Hotel in West Drayton.

Scientists have discovered eight new spindle-like galaxies—huge structures once thought to be extremely rare features of the cosmos. Traditionally, we think of galaxies as being flat rotating disks made up of billions of stars, with a black hole at their center. However, scientists also know of another type known as prolate rotators. These are cigar-shaped galaxies that rotate along their axis making it look like a spindle. Until now, only a handful of which had ever been observed, making astronomers think they were extremely rare.
