CCTV footage shows two brave women fighting of a robber in Birmingham. Tyrone Dorsett threatened the women with a knife to steal the shop till. One of the woman attempted to block the exit while the other ran after him wielding a baseball bat. Dorsett was later jailed for 12 years for 15 robberies and one count of assault. DNA from a can led to his arrest, after he was spotted drinking from it on CCTV.
A protest following the death of Rashan Charles turned violent after protesters attacked police and set bins and mattresses on fire. 20-year-old Charles died in hospital on July 22 after he was chased by police and swallowed an object.
A knife-wielding attacker has killed one person at a supermarket in Hamburg and injured four others. Police arrested a suspect who fled the scene. The identity of the attacker has not been confirmed yet.

Two people have been found guilty of deliberately destroying a house in Lancashire as part of an elaborate insurance scam. Samuel Todd, 27, and Ryan Ibbitson, 23, both of Accrington, were convicted of pouring several gallons of petrol onto the house on Cumberland Avenue in Clayton-le-Moors in April 2014 before setting it alight in order to claim insurance money.

Police helped clear the way for Cardinal George Pell to navigate through a pack of reporters so he could appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court on July 26.
